Landing approach practice — Countryside
← All flights on Countryside
Start on final, follow the glide slope and the PAPI lights, and touch down on the numbers.
Where you will fly
Countryside is the gentlest place to learn to fly a plane: open farmland, no high ground to clear, and room to get an approach wrong and go around. North Field and Ridge Field are 600 m runways; West Strip is 1,500 m, long enough for the heavier aircraft or a nervous first landing. The grass strips are far bigger than a club field, so an RC trainer has all the room it needs.
Before you fly
Open the setup screen to choose your aircraft and review the controls before flying.
